How Fill in the Brand Helped THE GYM Thrive in the Face of Adversity

When THE GYM approached me about working together, I saw it as an opportunity to offer my expertise in a way that would benefit both of our companies. I was careful in my approach to working with THE GYM because I wanted to do it right. I saw the potential for a long-term partnership and wanted to be calculated in my decision-making. In the summer of 2019, I made the decision to invest the time in finding out what was going on at THE GYM by sitting in on their weekly team meetings for a couple of months. This allowed me to make a more informed decision about how to officially work together, which we did in the months that followed.

Just a few months into the partnership, the pandemic struck and THE GYM was forced to close its doors. This presented a challenge for both companies, but we saw it as an opportunity to adapt and take our efforts to even greater levels. With my expertise in technology and production, we were able to build new systems that would allow the business to adapt in new ways, at a much faster pace.

I led the team in building a strong communication and production strategy that included producing live virtual classes and training content for THE GYM’s audience. We went on to build a system for managing online memberships, with the ability to take credit card payments online. This opened up new opportunities for driving revenue and allowed THE GYM to offer these valued services for a fee, which was something the business could not previously do outside of the club.

As we prepared for the reopening of the gym, we also continued to offer virtual classes and hosting live outdoor classes that became more in demand as restrictions loosened. When we finally received the go-ahead to reopen, we were excited to welcome back our members in person and were able to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

In the months following the reopening, business continued to thrive and we were able to build on the foundation we had established and take our partnership to even greater heights. We continued to work together to find new ways to innovate and adapt, even in the face of what was happening in the world. The virtual classes and training content we had developed during the initial shutdown proved to be extremely popular and helped drive revenue for THE GYM.

I was proud of the work we had done together and the impact it had on THE GYM’s business. It was a challenging experience, but it also proved to be one of the most rewarding and meaningful of my career. I was grateful for the opportunity to work closely with the team at THE GYM and build a strong partnership.

Through this experience, I learned valuable lessons about adapting to change and the importance of resilience in business. I also gained a deeper understanding of the importance of investing the time and effort to truly understand a client’s business and their needs.
